it looks like you could come into the wheel almost at 90 degrees to rotation travel along the lower control arm, it would take a longer bit of hose but there should be plenty of room

oh and Phillip SSR Comps - I am quite jealous, amazing wheels

That's what I already said I tried. I tried it the same way I have it now, but extended into the wheel, and you can't turn the steering wheel more than 1 or 1.5 turns. There's not plenty of room anywhere.

I'm going to try these shop vac nozzles. The only other option is to get some 2" hose, which might get in there, but it'll still be close.

well looks like if a smaller hose may be your only option

So I cut up these shop vac nozzles and mounted them under the lower arm. They extend into the wheel, but are more aimed at the rotor surface. I'm tired of foolin' with this thing. I'd post a picture, but I have no camera. I'm hoping they'll help a little, but we'll see.

I redid those ducts. Rather than those dumb shop vac nozzles, I just trashed all that and went the simple route, which is probably more effective anyways.

Now, it's a lot easier to take the bumper off, the hose isn't so low to the ground and there are less moving parts.

Thumb up

This guy on Honda-Tech uses Z06 ducts on his Civic.

http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2476349

Apparently, they're only $15. They look like they'd work really well.

Yo, Bear, can I get a price and part number of those ducts? I think they're for the C6.

ok so these are off a C6 Zo6
those are the correct part numbers, it is only the ducts (#3), not the intake baffles(#1). They look long, i guess its gotta go from almost the bumper to the breaks.

my GM cost I can get them for me/ya'll is $13.10 for BOTH. this is employee hookup so don't go and sell them on ebay from under me. The weekend after next (7th) Jenifer is either gonna come to Dallas or I'm gonna be in Houston so you guys tell me who wants them and i'll make an order for them and get 'em to you guys.

#3 is highlighted in blue, right? That looks like them. I definitely want some. Actually, put me down for 2 pairs, if that's cool. For $13 a pair, I might as well have an extra set. They'll get used for something.

Just tell me how much after taxes and all and I can PayPal you the money.

Can you post those part numbers? I was going to update that Honda-Tech thread with the correct numbers.

OH NO!! I originally typed Jen Bar then went back to type Jennifer and I guess I forgot an N. Sorry babe, my bad!!!
Doh!
I'll make it up to you.

Van wants a set too, I think I might order one for the C5, C6 and CTS-V and see what is the longest/cheapest.
Also ryan wanted me to see about #1; how big and how much the intake baffle is on the C6.
Those part numbers for the ducts are correct, and are for the ducts only(#3).
15829066 and 15829067 i get them for $6.05 each and the total is $13.10 for both and are only my price to me from GM as an employee (technically I shouldn't be gettin parts for anyone but me, but oh well). They are available for next day to Sewell when I order them so I'll get some next week once ya'll tell me how many sets to order.
