After my first track day on 600-mile-old, unshaved XS's in the CRX, I cant say enough good things about them!
They had gobs of grip and made just enough noise when you were being bad. In 22-minute sessions they would only fall off slightly towards the end, and it was very gradual and predictable.
No greasiness, no scumbling or funny wear, no sudden surprises, and they drove me home still quiet and balanced.
Ambient temps were low to mid 60's.
Kumho XS handle heat and daily drive much better than Azenis. They are more like an RE-01R with better heat tolerance. Sidewalls are not as stiff as Azenis, but its not a factor on my modestly sprung CRX. And they're still pretty cheap! _________________ '91 CRX Si |

you had me until sidewall stiffness - tsk too bad cause I kinda need the extra feel running a tall profile tire like I do (50 series) _________________ Faster and faster until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death
